I
started my education at Baltimore School of Massage,
studying Massage Therapy. I completed the 510 hour
certification program and began working in this field
immediately.
As time progressed, I decided to study Asian Bodywork and
went back to Baltimore School of Massage, completing the
610 hour certification program in Shiatsu and Asian
Bodywork. It was a life altering time for me and my
interest in Chinese Medicine became stronger then ever.
In 2004 I passed the national certification exam given by
the NCCAOM allowing me the designation of Diplomate of
Asian Bodywork Therapies. This requires that I continue
taking classes to further my education as well being CPR
certified. To date, I am the only practitioner in York
County to hold this title.
The focus of my career is Tui Na and Shiatsu and I continue
to learn techniques to efficiently treat every day
conditions that arise. Currently my studies include Tui Na
and the use of massage, herbs and liniments to treat acute
injuries such as sprains, strains, tears and trauma to soft
tissue. This training, I believe strongly will change the
way I can help my clients in their path to optimal health.
